Contract Packing & Reworking expansion
In January 2008 the Widdowson Group commissioned a dedicated warehouse to handle the growth in its Contract Packing and Reworking business. Twelve months on we are adding a further 20,000 sq ft of additional space to keep up with expansion of services and clients.
We believe we have found ourselves a niche in this sector for several key reasons:-
• Location – Ideally positioned in the centre of the country to handle inbound and outbound stock.
• Warehousing – 700,000 sq ft of space to hold inventory.
• Distribution – 160 vehicle distribution fleet to handle inbound and outbound movements.
• Services – Flexible and cost effective solutions tailored to customers requirements.
By listening to our customers needs we strive to be an integral part of their business. We believe our ability to ‘customize’ product to their requirements enables them to grow their business through our services.

Chris Payne representing Chatfields sales team commented that this is a fantastic opportunity for both Chatfields and Iveco by providing a clear message to the transport industry that the Iveco brand is a product which represents a serious contender in the premium heavy truck market place.
Prior to vehicle delivery the Chatfields team together with representatives from Iveco entered many discussions with Mr Harry Hawksworth – Technical Director and his team to ensure all aspects of both vehicle specification and trailer compatibility were met before entering service.
Each vehicle is supported with a five year manufacturers repair and maintenance contract to ensure both peace of mind and delivering low operating costs.
Regular review meetings will be scheduled over the coming months to ensure each vehicle performs to its maximum potential.
